"Enema Set Uses Professional: For use as a laxative in post-operative care, antepartum care, postpartum care, and in preparation for delivery; for preparing colon for x-ray or endoscopic examination. Laxative: For relief of occasional constipation. This product generally produces a bowel movement in 2 to 15 minutes. Contents: 1 complete BAGENEMA set, consisting of: graduated vinyl bag - approximately 1500 mL; vinyl tubing with pre-lubricated tip; tube clamp; protective tip cover; absorbent pad with moisture-proof backing. Directions Frequency of use: Adults and children 12 years and over: 1 enema daily, or as directed by a physician. Children under 12 years: Consult a physician. For enema administration: Close off the tubing by sliding clamp to squeeze the tubing together. Use lukewarm tap water to fill the bag to the 1,500 mL mark, unless otherwise directed by your physician. Check to see that bag opening is closed securely by pressing 2 sides of seal together. Remove green protective shield from enema tip. Open clamp and allow a small amount of solution to flow through tubing to eliminate air which could cause cramping. Close clamp.
