Before You Begin: Read the instructions carefully. Do not open the pouch until you are ready to start. Store the test stick at room temperature (2-30 degrees C or 36-86 degrees F) while not in use. Instructions: 1) This test stick should be brought to room temperature prior to assay if it was refrigerated. 2) Open the foil pouch by tearing along the split. Remove the test stick from the pouch. Hold the round end of the stick. Use another hand to remove the head cap to expose the urine absorbent grid. 3) Hold the test by the thumb grip with the exposed absorbent grid pointed downward. Urinate only on the grid for 5 to 10 seconds until grid area gets wet thoroughly. Do not urinate on the window. Keep grid in downward facing position for several seconds to remove excess urine. Do not shake away the urine trapped on the grid. You may collect the urine in a clean, dry container and dip only the grid (the area below the max-mark pointed by the down arrow) in the urine for 5 seconds. 4) Replace the cap. Place the test on a clean, level surface with the window facing upward while you are waiting for the test result. If you wish, you may leave the Grid exposed. As the test begins to work, you will see a light pink color stream moving across the window. Reading the Results: 1) Wait 3 minutes to read the result. After 3 minutes, a purple band will appear in the control area to show you the test is completed. 2) If there is any purple band in the test area, you are pregnant. If there is no band in the test area you are not pregnant. As long as you find a band in the control area, the reading is valid. It does not matter if one band is fainter than the other. 3) Do not read the result after 5 minutes. Warnings: Keep out of revery of children. Not for internal use. In vitro diagnostic use only.
