- Hibiclens Packettes 50ct to be cleansed w water. Apply amount necessary to cover skin or wound area, wash gently. Rinse again thoroughly. Personnel Hand Wash Wet hands w water. Dispense 5 mL of product into cupped hands, wash in a vigorous manner for 15 sec. Rinse, dry thoroughly. Preoperative Skin Preparation Apply liberally to surgical site, swab for at least 2 min. Dry w a sterile towel. Repeat procedure for an 2 min, dry w a sterile towel. Warnings FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY. KEEP OUT OF EYES, EARS AND MOUTH. THIS PRODUCT SHOULD NOT BE USED AS A PREOPERATIVE SKIN PREPARATION OF THE FACE OR HEAD. MISUSE OF PRODUCT HAS BEEN REPORTED TO CAUSE SERIOUS AND PERMANENT EYE INJURY WHEN IT HAS BEEN PERMITTED TO ENTER AND REMAIN IN THE EYE DURING SURGICAL PROCEDURES.
